JEMBRANA, NETIZENBALI.COM — The Jembrana administration continues to expand international employment opportunities for local residents. Five Japanese companies on Sunday conducted driving tests for prospective Indonesian migrant workers from Jembrana at the GOR Kresna Jvara parking area, with the program facilitated by Fuji Academy.
The field selection process was specifically designed for candidates seeking placement under Japan's Tokutei Ginou (Specified Skilled Worker or SSW) program, which targets workers with specialized skills.
Fuji Academy Vice President Yosrizal said the tests marked the initial stage of the recruitment process, aimed at assessing candidates' operational abilities and physical readiness before they proceed to further administrative and academic evaluations.
"Today's program involves driving tests for the Tokutei Ginou scheme, conducted directly by representatives from five Japanese companies. The first stage focuses on driving and mathematics tests at GOR Kresna Jvara, while in-depth interviews will be held at the Jembrana Vocational Training Center (BLK)," Yosrizal said on the sidelines of the event.
According to Yosrizal, the first-round selection involved 22 participants divided into two groups. Eleven candidates are currently enrolled in a training program jointly organized by Fuji Academy and the Jembrana administration at the local vocational training center, while the remaining participants came from outside the region and are undergoing the same recruitment process.
Candidates from outside Jembrana who pass the selection will later undergo intensive training at either Fuji Academy or the Jembrana vocational training center.
Fuji Academy's training program for prospective SSW workers lasts approximately six months, during which participants are required to master several competencies, including basic Japanese language proficiency equivalent to the N5 level, obtain the official JFT-Basic N4 certification, and earn professional certification in accordance with their intended field of employment in Japan.
Applicants who successfully pass the driving, mathematics and interview stages will sign a preliminary employment contract with the recruiting companies. They will then receive assistance in document verification, language development monitoring, processing of the Certificate of Eligibility (COE), and the issuance of Japanese work visas before their departure.
Meanwhile, Fuji Academy President Araki expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm and potential demonstrated by Jembrana residents.
"We are always open to the people of Jembrana, especially students currently studying at the Jembrana vocational training center. There are many job opportunities available in Japan at the moment. Anyone interested in working in Japan is welcome to contact us," Araki said. (*)
